Fluent Connections was built from a simple need: people should be able to understand and be understood when accessing healthcare, community services, education, business resources and important documents.
We are a local Gunnison Valley company connected to the Hispanic/Latino and multilingual communities we serve. Our interpreters and translators are expected to work accurately, impartially and confidentially, while respecting the cultural context behind every conversation.
We also invest in training and developing local language professionals so that language access grows with our community.

Meet our Founder and CEO -Yamel Aguirre
She moved from Oaxaca, Mexico in 2014 directly to the Gunnison Valley to live with her family The Marmolejos.
Yamel has shown a lot of her support to the Hispanic and Latino community through learning new skills and sharing them with her people.
Yamel has a background in Insurance, interpretation and cultural translations, currently she works for Juvenile Services as the Bilingual Case Manager for the Diversion program..
One of her dreams is to be able to provide services for organizations, systems and business while supporting new talents in the valley, people that also share the value of community.
From her dream, Fluent Connections LLC was born with the support and extra push from Spanish speaking leaders in the community.
You might find our founder at different events in the community, helping out or enjoying the community connections, maybe dressing with her cultural outfits from Oaxaca and a big smile.
Her hobbies are reading, and spending time with her 2-year-old pup Milo at the dog park, walking or driving around town.
